Niassa province is preparing to take part in the Mozambique-China Business Forum, to be held from 17 to 22 April in the People's Republic of China, as part of the state visit on President Daniel Chapo's agenda.

The trip comes at a time when the province is seeking to establish itself as one of the strategic hubs for attracting investment, viewing cooperation with China as a concrete opportunity to energise the economy, stimulate production and open up new fronts for employment.

Owing to a clash in her schedule, the governor of Niassa, Elina Judite Massengele, will not be able to attend the event. Representing her will be the president of the Lichinga Municipal Council, Luís Saíde Jumo, accompanied by three figures from the province's business sector: Fanequisso Maurício, chairman of the board of Fanequisso Comercial, Aly Issufo Gulamo, chairman of the board of Engenpower, and Silas de Melo, chairman of the board of Melo Jr Serviços.

The presence of this business and institutional delegation reflects the intention to position Niassa as a territory open to investment and to partnerships able to turn its potential into concrete results. At the heart of this participation is a larger ambition: to strengthen production, create jobs and help accelerate Mozambique's path towards economic independence.

Consolidating the sustainable and inclusive development of Niassa, the agricultural capital of Mozambique.
