On 7 March, Nelson Freitas surprised the music world once again with the release of his latest EP, entitled "Waves". This new work not only reinforces his artistic evolution, but also reflects the blend of influences that has always characterised his sound. With three previously unreleased tracks, including "Jungle Fever", released on 14 February, the EP reveals the versatility of the singer and songwriter, taking listeners on a musical journey rich in diverse rhythms and styles.

The genesis of "Waves" goes back to a singular experience on Mozambican soil. Inspired by a writing camp held at the stunning White Pearl Resorts, Nelson Freitas joined a team of talented Mozambican songwriters in an immersive, exclusive creative environment. Of that experience, the artist says: "I decided to return to Mozambique, to the incredible White Pearl Resorts, a place that had already won me over before with its unique energy. This time, it wasn't just to relax, but to create! We set up three studios in three cabins and, together, produced eight songs full of soul. On my new EP Waves, which features three of those songs, every sound reflects that unforgettable journey."

"Só Sodadi", which features Twenty Fingers and Teo no Beat, was produced by the latter, with songwriting by Nelson Freitas, Marcus Luis Filomena, Nelson Dinis Uqueio and Bashir Issa. "Wavy", the fruit of a partnership between Nelson Freitas, Mark Exodus and DJ Tarico, was produced by DJ Tarico, with Nelson Freitas and Marcus Luis Filomena taking charge of the songwriting. The EP's sound gained even more depth from the mixing by Carlos Juvandes and Janga, while the mastering was in the hands of Darius Van Helfteren and Janga.

Available on all digital platforms, "Waves" is accompanied by an exclusive documentary that records the entire creative process, already available on the artist's official YouTube channel. This audiovisual record offers fans a privileged behind-the-scenes look at the making of the EP and the inspiration behind each track.
