Millennium bim has reopened its branch in the city of Tete, presenting a renewed concept of banking service that combines modernity, technology and a focus on customers’ real needs. It is another step in the strategy of modernising the branch network nationwide, favouring functional, efficient spaces aligned with the future of banking in Mozambique.
According to a statement from the institution, the choice of Tete province is no accident. With a strong presence in the energy, mining, agro-industry and trade sectors, Tete is seen as one of the pillars of the country’s economic growth. In this context, Millennium bim reaffirms its commitment to local development, providing financial services tailored to the region’s profile and economic potential.
The new branch stands out for its integration of cutting-edge technology: it has an automatic queue management system, a digital screen and a self-banking area with access available 24 hours a day. These solutions aim to provide customers with greater convenience, security and independence, optimising their time and making everyday banking easier.
“The city of Tete is an important hub of development and it is with great enthusiasm that we bring this new branch concept to this province. In a year in which we celebrate 30 years of presence in Mozambique, we reaffirm our commitment to Mozambicans, bringing innovation and excellent banking service to every region of the country. This new branch is more than a modern structure – it is a reflection of our future and of our daily dedication to being close to our customers”, declared Rui Pedro, chairman of the Executive Committee of Millennium bim.
The reopening ceremony also had a social dimension. As part of the Mais Moçambique Pra Mim programme, the bank donated gifts to the Avó Teresa Orphanage and the Chimandzi Centre for the Elderly, a clear demonstration of its involvement with the local community.
