In the city of Matola, the State Secretariat in Maputo Province, led by Judite Mussácula, has taken a significant step in strengthening road inspection measures. A vehicle fully equipped with IT equipment was handed over to the provincial delegation of the National Road Transport Institute (INATRO), marking an advance in the supervision and control of the roads.

The main aim of the initiative is to expand monitoring and inspection activity on public roads, ensuring greater safety and efficiency in traffic management. This action forms part of a broader plan to raise the quality of services provided to citizens, in particular with regard to the issuing of driving licences, vehicle registration documents and learner permits. The ease of checking records or issuing fines, among other services, will also benefit from this new tool.

According to statements gathered by the newspaper Notícias, the emphasis placed on delivering high-quality services was a central point in the Secretary of State's words. Moreover, the initiative is not limited to technical and administrative reinforcement. INATRO, led by Edite Mussácula, also intends to carry out a series of awareness-raising activities among motorists. The aim of these actions is clear: to reduce the road accident rate, a matter of the utmost importance for the safety and well-being of Mozambican citizens.

This measure, reflecting a serious commitment to the continuous improvement of road conditions in Mozambique, is an example of how combining technology and awareness can be a powerful tool in promoting safety and efficiency on the roads.
