Today marks the start of the process of submitting candidacies for Mozambique's upcoming general elections, which include the presidential election, the legislative elections, and those for the provincial assemblies and for provincial governor, all scheduled for 9 October.

According to information released by the National Elections Commission (CNE), the registrations of two political parties, PODEMOS and PEMO, are already scheduled for today. This registration period for political parties, coalitions and proposing groups of citizen voters will remain open until 7 May, setting the stage for one of the most important moments of democracy in the country.

This process is crucial for determining the future leaders and representatives in the various spheres of Mozambican government, underlining the importance of active and informed participation by citizens throughout the electoral process.
