The Government says the distribution of school textbooks will take place without delay, ensuring that all conditions are in place for the start of the 2025 school year, next Friday (31), throughout Mozambique.
According to the spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Inocêncio Impissa, who spoke to the press yesterday (28), an effort is also under way to make the books available in both physical and digital formats.
"The most important thing is that the book is accessible in schools, for teachers and, above all, for students. That is the commitment to ensure a start to the school year without hitches", said Impissa, who is also Minister of State Administration and the Public Service.
In 2024, several primary schools in the country ended the year without access to school textbooks, a situation that hampered the learning of countless pupils who depend on free distribution.
Impissa also guaranteed that, despite the challenges posed by the recent post-election demonstrations, the logistical conditions for the start of classes are assured.
