Arão Litsure, a multifaceted personality of Mozambique, recently died in South Africa after an illness. Known both for his political career and for his contribution to music, Litsure held significant roles until his final days. A former president of the National Elections Commission (CNE) and a pastor of the United Congregational Church of Mozambique, he also served as National Director of Religious Affairs at the Ministry of Justice.

From a very early age, Litsure showed an exceptional talent for music, influenced by his mother, Joaquina Josefa, a respected conductor. His passion for music accompanied him throughout his life, allowing him to combine religious and political activity with musical composition and performance. His training in Theology and his roots in Panda, in Inhambane province, also marked him out as a man deeply rooted in his origins and values.

Litsure's death marks the end of an era of dedication to public service and Mozambican culture. Arrangements are now being made to transfer his body back to Mozambique, where the funeral ceremonies will be held. The date and details of these tributes are yet to be announced, as the nation mourns the loss of one of its most influential and beloved figures.
