The short film Gorongosa: A Journey of Transformation and Tourism takes viewers on a captivating journey, following Dádiva David Salomão, safari guide and ambassador of Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique. Across natural landscapes of unrivalled beauty, Dádiva shares her vision of the deep connection between Gorongosa and the local communities, highlighting how tourism and conservation have transformed this ecosystem.

Originally devastated, Gorongosa National Park is today a symbol of ecological rebirth, where wildlife flourishes and communities benefit directly from sustainable tourism. This model, which Dádiva regards as a “park for the people”, is a concrete example of how tourism can be an engine of positive change, supporting conservation and promoting community development.

In her message to potential visitors, Dádiva expresses Gorongosa’s greater purpose: “I know people can go on holiday anywhere in the world, but here in Gorongosa we are using tourism to try to change the world.” A direct invitation for travellers to experience the connection between responsible tourism and environmental preservation.
