Access to digital banking takes on a new dimension for Millennium bim customers. The financial institution now allows the Smart IZI app to be used without consuming airtime or the mobile data bundle, in an initiative called “Smart IZI Mahala”.

The measure seeks to remove one of the main obstacles to regular use of digital banking services: the cost of connectivity. By eliminating this barrier, Millennium bim aims to widen access to its platform and create conditions for customers to use the financial services available through their mobile phones more often.

Use of Smart IZI without consuming mobile data results from a partnership established between the bank and the telecommunications operators, allowing customers to access the app without the browsing being deducted from their airtime or internet bundle.

For the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Millennium bim, Rui Pedro, the initiative reflects the bank's strategy of putting technological innovation at the service of users' concrete needs.

“For Millennium bim, innovating means turning technology into concrete benefits for our Customers. Access to Smart IZI without consuming mobile data lowers a barrier to the use of digital banking services and allows more Customers to use the App with convenience, independence and security,” said Rui Pedro.

The initiative comes at a time when the bank is seeking to strengthen digital channels as an alternative to in-person transactions. In a single channel, Smart IZI offers a comprehensive set of features that allows customers to manage their accounts, carry out transactions and access Millennium bim's various services with greater independence, flexibility and security.

The app is not intended only for existing customers. Anyone wishing to establish a banking relationship with the institution can also open an account through Smart IZI, in a process that is simple, self-service and entirely digital, with no need to visit a branch.

With “Smart IZI Mahala”, Millennium bim reinforces its strategy of digital transformation and of promoting financial inclusion, investing in solutions designed to make banking services simpler and more accessible and, at the same time, better suited to customers' needs.
