Malachi Garden is a company specialising in the construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of gardens.
My story with plants begins in my childhood, when I swapped dolls for plant pots and learned to look after plants with great dedication. From that moment, I developed a special connection with nature and realised that this was what truly made me happy. Over time, I studied and worked in different fields, but never felt fulfilled. That was when I decided that my true passion was working with plants and creating green spaces that bring harmony and beauty to people's lives. Even without many resources, I decided to take the risk and create Malachi Garden, which today is a company that has been established in the market for 7 years.
We started with a small team, me and the caretaker of our farm, and today we have 15 employees, rising to 25 in periods of high demand. Our team is made up of gardeners, a landscape architect (seasonal), supervisors, machine technicians, machine operators, an administrative assistant, an accountant and shop assistants. We offer complete services for transforming green spaces, 100% natural. In our shops, customers find a variety of plants and gardening accessories. We also have a plant clinic, which helps our customers care for their plants more effectively. In addition, we carry out garden maintenance and rehabilitation for corporate clients, such as offices, banks, hotels, among others. We do not forget our private clients, who are often passionate about gardening and seek our help in creating the garden of their dreams. We believe that each project is unique and has its own story. That is why we work in a personalised way, listening to our clients' needs and creating creative and sustainable solutions specific to each project. Our aim is always to create green spaces that bring more beauty, harmony and well-being to people and to the environment around us.
The pandemic brought many challenges for all of us, and we were no different. We lost some private clients and had to deal with restrictions and uncertainty. But it was also an opportunity to reinvent ourselves and discover new ways of creating and caring for gardens. During that period, we studied and implemented new gardening techniques, and we became the first in Mozambique to bring the ancient Japanese technique of kokedama, which was a hit with our clients and is still very highly valued.
One of our greatest goals is to teach people to care for plants as truly living beings, deserving of attention, care and respect. We feel great satisfaction when our clients praise our work and say that we have exceeded their expectations. It is also very rewarding when they automatically associate us with plants, and when they have a question about plant care and seek advice.
We are convinced that we are leaving a legacy, helping to preserve plants in the hearts of many people. And, since the digital world is a current trend and the future is increasingly digital, we are preparing to follow this trend. We use digital platforms to promote our services, but our dream is to create an almost 100% digital gardening school, so that people across the country can have access to this knowledge. In addition, we are writing a book in print format, but we also dream of making it available in digital format. On Instagram, we share tips and answer our followers' questions about gardening. Every green space has a story to tell and potential to be explored. That is why we are always ready to listen to our clients and offer personalised and creative solutions. For us, working with plants is much more than a profession; it is a passion that we want to share with everyone.
We have bold plans for the future, such as creating a gardening school, launching books and equipment under our brand, public gardens, a botanical garden in Mozambique, talks in schools and support for women who love plants. We believe that gardening can transform lives and help preserve the environment.
