4th edition of the People Management Forum

On 17 and 18 November, the 4th edition of the People Management Forum took place at the Rani Towers, in Maputo, featuring a number of Mozambican and international speakers from the human resources and people management sector. This is the fourth edition in Mozambique of this event, whose objective is to reach more and more professionals in the sector, influencing them to implement best practices. This year it extended to Angola and also to Cape Verde.
At this edition, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8, “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, was adopted as a commitment. The Forum aims to contribute to the following:

• protecting workers' rights, promoting safe working environments for all, including migrants and people in precarious jobs.
• by 2030, achieving full and productive employment, in conditions of decency and dignity, for all.

On the first day, the topics discussed were organisational transformation, managing hybrid teams and the use of technology, with representatives of companies and institutions such as Access Bank, Sika Moçambique, Absa Bank Mozambique, SAP Central Africa, Nestlé and Cervejas de Moçambique. On the second day, 18 November, the topics were varied, such as the role of the leader, the impact of Covid-19 and digital transformation. Guests included companies such as the Mota-Engil Group, Letshego Bank and the Continental Secretary-General for the African Youth Development Commission.
“Because we believe that people are the most important asset of any organisation, we are presenting a more inclusive forum, able to bring solutions to professionals who genuinely wish to make an impact and contribute positively to the success of the organisations they belong to.” – said Marlene de Sousa, the founder of the Forum.
