Herself

“My journey begins when I agree to be photographed in my childhood and… there was a click! The desire to take photographs was born, to imitate other photographers, initially because I liked having a camera in my hand (just for style), and then through discovering the result of what was a mere style. Today, I love taking photographs, and photography is my essence.

For me, photography is the record of each moment that life gives us, and that endures. When it comes to photographing everything around me, I feel inspired. A detail, a staged scene, the colours, the atmosphere, the people, the place, fashion, the arts, fascinate me enormously. Ideas come from all these things; the best ideas complement this result.

In my humble opinion, most of the moving stories are those that point to acts of overcoming adversity. The life of someone living with albinism, for example, moves me immensely. I have had the opportunity to be close to people with this condition, and it affects me deeply. And every face tells a story to the eyes of the world, it speaks for itself.

I think the biggest challenges nowadays lie in keeping up with new technologies, flying drones or being on top of cutting-edge photography techniques. The current generation of photographers is very proactive. They make me throw my hands up – and I say: I don't know if I can do this! But then I manage it.

I consider the essential ingredients for a prosperous future in the photography market to be quality and efficiency. I try to present something pleasing to the eye of whoever sees my work, a singular experience. Besides photography, the art of painting, creating and recreating captivates me enormously.
