The Chairman of the Executive Committee (CEO) of Millennium bim, Rui Pedro, was officially introduced to the business community and Customers of the city of Beira, at a meeting that marks a new phase of closeness and collaboration between the Bank and the Mozambican private sector. This initiative continues the meeting previously held in Maputo and forms part of a broader strategy of bringing Millennium bim's management team closer to its main Customers, in different regions of the country.
The event was attended by 3 other members of the Executive Committee, including the most recent Executive Director, Januário Valente, responsible for the Corporate and Investment Banking segment, as well as Ana Torres, responsible for the Retail and Marketing segment, and Liliana Catoja, who is in charge of credit and support.
On the occasion, Rui Pedro highlighted the importance of Beira as a symbol of resilience and strategic vision for the country's development. “As well as being the third largest city in Mozambique, Beira is a place of resilience and reinvention, a point of departure and arrival, with a port that links Mozambique to the world and a business community that pulses with ambition", he said.
In his address, Rui Pedro reinforced Millennium bim's role as a strategic partner of Mozambican companies, offering financial solutions tailored to their needs: "We want you to count on us as true partners. Partners who understand your business. Who offer tailored financing, efficient treasury management and digital platforms worthy of your ambition.”
In a year in which Millennium bim celebrates its 30th anniversary, Rui Pedro stressed the continuing commitment to sustainable development: "We are here to support business projects that create real impact and generate lasting value for the country.”
