Based on a detailed analysis of its capacity for innovation and the quality of the products and services it offers, Millennium bim has once again been honoured with the Best Bank in Mozambique award, this time for 2023. In 14 years, this is the 13th time the Bank has been recognised in this category. Awarded by the prestigious financial magazine Global Finance, this prize consolidates the Bank’s position as the most awarded financial institution in the country. It also highlights Millennium bim’s excellence in the Mozambican banking sector and recognises its role in promoting the country’s economic development.
The Bank’s selection was subject to rigorous evaluation criteria, namely the quality of service provided to Clients, financial performance, balance sheet strength, geographic reach, capacity for technological innovation, leadership in the banking sector, client-oriented strategy and commitment to corporate social responsibility.

For the Global Finance judges, Millennium bim has demonstrated a high capacity for resilience and for the swift adoption of proactive measures in periods unfavourable to economic development. “As the US financial crisis spreads to other regions, identifying the best banks in service, stability and institutional knowledge is more important than ever,” said Global Finance’s founder and Editorial Director, Joseph D. Giarraputo.

For Millennium bim’s CEO, João Martins, “success is measured not only by the Bank’s financial performance, but also by the capacity for innovation shown over more than 25 years. This international public recognition reaffirms the high performance of all Employees in the search for new solutions capable of meeting the needs of our Clients”.

The awards won over recent years reflect the solidity and quality of the Bank’s results, its capacity to innovate and the implementation of a sustained growth strategy.
