CFAO Mobility Mozambique enthusiastically celebrated the 2nd edition of the Toyota Festival by CFAO, held on 13 September at the ATCM Track in Maputo. The event exceeded all expectations, establishing itself as one of the most notable moments in the national motoring calendar. Over the course of the day, around 4,000 people passed through the venue, including customers, partners and enthusiasts, who enjoyed unique experiences in a vibrant atmosphere of excitement, innovation and entertainment.
One of the major highlights was the Toyota GR Experience, where participants could try out the power of Toyota's GR sports range. The FT-86, GR Corolla and the iconic Supra provided thrilling hot laps, driven by professional drivers, in an experience full of adrenaline, safety and pure Toyota sporting DNA. The most devoted fans could also buy brand merchandise.
The new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado was also in the spotlight, allowing visitors to test and discover at first hand the power, comfort and technology, on the 4 x 4 track, that make this model ideal for any lifestyle. The programme also included the presentation of the renewed Toyota city range, with special emphasis on the new Corolla Cross SUV and also with the presence of the robust Toyota LC79, all of these vehicles available for test drives for everyone present.
Automotive creativity had its stage in the contest “O Prado Mais Txunado de Moçambique” (“Mozambique's Coolest Prado”), which rewarded the most original Toyota Prado. Carlos Miguel was the big winner of the competition, with his classic 1990 Prado reaching the top thanks to its style and creativity. He received as his prize a voucher worth 30,000.00 MZN for Toyota workshop services.
The day began early with the Toyota Cycling Challenge, a timed cross-country race that involved participants of all ages. The festival offered a wide variety of activities for the whole family, including a kids' zone with fun road-safety training for the youngest, an extreme zone with a slide, climbing, virtual reality and many other children's activities. Diverse food and live music during the day, notably a performance by the artist Dudas, completed the experience.
The celebration culminated in the Toyota After Party, which kept the rhythm going until the early hours. With an international and national line-up of renowned DJs – Jord Zuffo, The Contraband, DJ Malvado and DJ Sakay from Madagascar – the dance floor caught fire to the sound of the best rhythms in the world, guaranteeing an unforgettable night of celebration and joy.
CFAO Mobility Mozambique, Toyota's official representative in the country and part of the CFAO group – the pan-African leader in the mobility sector – continues to invest in innovation and in creating memorable experiences that strengthen Mozambicans' trust in, and connection to, the Toyota brand.
