The 60th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM) reaffirmed itself as the biggest stage for meetings, business and vision for the future in Mozambique. Once again, Banco Comercial e de Investimentos (BCI) was present as a Premier Sponsor, underlining its firm commitment to Mozambique's economic development.

Set up in the Gwaza Muthini Pavilion, BCI's stand stood out for its modernity and innovative character. Inspired by the concept of digital transformation, the space was designed to open windows onto the future, inviting the public to discover practical and accessible banking solutions. From e-banking to prepaid cards, from account opening to data updates, not forgetting Credit for Civil Servants, every detail was designed to respond with simplicity and efficiency to the demands of the modern customer.
Right at the entrance, visitors were welcomed throughout the days by an environment that combines technology with human closeness. An exclusive networking space, intended for companies and individuals, became a dynamic meeting point, always enlivened by the attentive support of the Bank's technical and commercial teams.

One of the high points of BCI's participation was the visit by the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, to the stand during the opening ceremony. The prestigious gesture underlined the institution's importance in the country's economic and social fabric.
Throughout the Fair, visitors were surprised with exclusive giveaways, small gestures of gratitude that reinforce the closeness BCI seeks to cultivate, day after day, with its customers.

Under the theme “Promoting Economic Diversification towards Mozambique's Sustainable and Competitive Development”, FACIM brought together national and international players, offering BCI a privileged stage on which to reaffirm its positioning.

It was in this context that the Bank and the Mozambique–Italy Chamber of Commerce (CCMI) renewed the cooperation protocol that has united the two institutions since 2017. The act reaffirmed a solid partnership, founded on trust and a shared vision, strengthened over successive stages: 2020, 2023 and now 2025.

Also as part of the Fair, the press conference took place that marked the official launch of the Mozambique–Italy Business Forum. The meeting, held later on 15 September, in the BCI Auditorium, brought together government representatives, businesspeople and financial institutions from both countries, in a dialogue that opened up new prospects for investment and innovation, especially in the agribusiness sector.

With a striking presence and a language that unites tradition and modernity, BCI showed, at this edition of FACIM 2025, held from 25 to 31 August, that innovation is not just technology: it is closeness, it is trust, it is a shared vision of the future.
