In the past, brands were built above all through what they said. Nowadays they are built by the experiences people live and feel in their daily lives.
In Mozambique, this reality is particularly evident. People are better informed, have more options and expect more from the brands they choose. They look for brands that deliver on what they promise, that are there when they are needed and that make their lives a little easier, simpler and better.
That is why, for us, building the Vodacom brand has never been just about creating advertising. It is about creating an experience.
As the #1 Network in Mozambique, we know that our brand is built every day, in thousands of moments that often go unnoticed. In the speed with which we send an email. In the quality of an important call. In the confidence of a secure transaction. In how quickly we respond to a customer. In the way we solve a problem or help someone stay connected to what matters most.
The truth is simple: a brand does not live only in adverts. It lives in people's real experience.
This is the purpose behind our new campaign, “Same Price. Better Quality.”
Rather than talking about products or offers, we wanted to talk about what really counts for consumers: the experience they have with us every day. Because, in reality, that is what defines the relationship between us and our customers.
This vision also reflects the way we are present in Mozambique. Not only on television or radio, but in neighbourhoods, in the streets, in communities, at points of sale, on social media and in the digital spaces where millions of people spend a significant part of their time. We seek to be close to people, to listen more and to understand their realities, aspirations and challenges better.
That is why the campaign draws inspiration from Mozambican humour and from situations that are familiar to us. We did not set out to create stories distant from reality. We set out to portray moments that could happen in any home, any neighbourhood or any part of the country. Moments that make us smile because we recognise ourselves in them.
In a young, dynamic country full of potential, this closeness will continue to be one of our greatest priorities. Because technology evolves, services are transformed and habits change. But something remains: the importance of trust.
And trust is earned in the same way that a strong brand is built: through consistent experiences, every day, over time.
That is the experience we want to continue offering our customers. And that is the experience that will continue to define who we are.
