In the sequel to Black Panther, the people of Wakanda face mourning for the tragic death of their leader, King T'Challa, from a serious illness. While the kingdom goes through one of its most vulnerable moments ever, new threats emerge, as the American government wishes to exploit vibranium, the most powerful metal in the world, which abounds in Wakanda. That seems, however, to be the least of the worries when an even more imposing antagonist appears: Namor, the leader of the underwater kingdom, a feared figure who wishes to wipe out all of humanity above the earth's surface and expects Wakanda to help him, under threat of becoming his enemy.

This second film in the saga is another instalment in the Marvel cinematic universe and, while seeking new directions for the characters we already know, it also explores the mystery of who the new protector of Wakanda will be, one of the moments fans most longed for after the death of the actor who previously played the superhero. Its two hours and forty minutes are packed with action, with a luxury cast that includes Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Tenoch Huerta, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, among many other renowned actors.

Making a mark in the powerful Hollywood industry is not easy. The actor Chadwick Boseman worked to stand out and succeeded. The new instalment in the saga may not reach the level of the previous film, but it pays a beautiful and honourable tribute to the star of the first film, a promising actor who left too soon and who will certainly be missed.
