Fourty & Single (Single at 40) is an invitation to follow the stormy life of Ebaner Temple, a single, middle-aged, bisexual Black woman and fashion designer whose speciality is designing and producing formal and wedding dresses. In a world dominated by men, she and all the women around her seek answers to important questions in life, while at the same time struggling with the opposite sex in search of equal opportunities in the society they live in, which gives rise to a series of unexpected events and passionate encounters.

Through this romantic series we get to know a little of daily life in Accra, the capital of Ghana, as well as the customs and traditions of this African people. Very rich in imagery, the series presents, in countless moments, the bright colours of the fabrics with which Ebaner works to produce her beautiful dresses, and lovely landscapes of that country.
Single at 40 is directed by Leila Djansi, with Marie Humbert, Miranda Bailey and Deon Matthew in the leading roles. The first season of the series is fully available on the well-known streaming platform Netflix, which recently confirmed that it will soon make the second season available.
